Quick and Healthy Snack Ideas for Mom (and the kids)

Hello mama, this is a reminder that you are NOT a garbage can! You do not deserve your kids left overs!  That being said, we know how hard it can be to make quick and healthy snacks for yourself, let alone something that the kids will love.  Look no further... watch this video for 4 quick, simple and healthy snacks that everyone will enjoy!

Snack 1: Fruit and Mock Caramel Sauce

  • 1-2 pieces of fruit (use a handy fruit chopper to help speed everything up)
  • 1 TB Peanut Butter (or seed/alternative nut butter)
  • 1 tsp Organic Honey

Snack 2:  Chia Seed Pudding

  • For one serving mix 1/8c chia seeds with 2 or three 1/8th cups of organic soy milk
  • Add in 1 tsp cacao powder and stir
  • Add a few non-dairy chocolate chips

*optional to add maple syrup if using unsweetened milk*

Snack 3: Chopped Veggies and Dip (or hummus)

  • Pre-chopped veggies (that is the key to making this quick)
  • 1-2 TB hummus

Snack 4: Avocado on Naan with Hemp Seeds

  • 1 slice of warmed or toasted naan
  • 1/2 an avocado spread on it
  • 1 TB hemp seeds sprinkled on top
  • dash of sea salt
